Situation

Due to the complex nature of the Israeli-Arab conflict it has affected not only the Israelis and Palestinians, but also the whole world. The main sector of the Palestinian community that has been affected by this conflict is women, children and the youth. It is clearly obvious that almost every Palestinian child has suffered from a physical or mental trauma, and these children now are in great need of help on both levels.

Lighting up a candle

To get a platform, from wich we could help, a group of academic students of Palestine founded the NGO "Lighting Candles Organization" in November 2005. It was founded as a Palestinian, non-governmental, non-profitable organization, working to promote democratic values, constitutional liberties & sustainable development in the Holy Land in order to achieve peace & prosperity.

We have expertise in management, technology, finance, journalism, law, health, marketing and social work, and seeks practical solutions to building consensus among all local Palestinians by strengthening peace and democracy, and by enhancing freedom of expression and social values specially among children.
